Out of Surgery.....

Hey Everybody,

Mom made it through surgery tonight, so that's all the surgery for now. Dr Coufal fixed her right ankle and left foot. She remains on the vent tube as her lungs are not yet strong enough to breathe on her own. Her doctor will try again tomorrow to wean her from the vent, so Jen, Heather and I will go in to help her focus on her breathing and get past this. I know the vent, neck collar and lack of communication are so hard for her. It's hard for us as well, and we will be grateful for the chance to talk to her soon. A pleasant side note is that Heather, Jennifer and I have been having fun together. I'm glad we get along!

Love,

Geoff

Great news on the ankle and foot surgery. Had no doubt. Also have no doubt that when you tell her she will need to exercise her lungs to get the tube out she will do it with super strength. Sheryl is resilient and can get by this. She has a proven track record on overcoming issues, especially about her health. Great news. Hugs and kisses from Thatcher and the birds. They are doing fine and miss thier momma.

just some of the wishes, thoughts and prayers from the east coast to all of you.

-I am so sorry. it is just not comprehensible. she will be in my prayers and she has a lot on her side this week. Ramadan, (sp.) and Rosh hosanna. so if we all work together, we will be heard. hugs to you and all the family.

-So sorry to hear about Goeff's Mom.I'll be thinking of her.
Makes you rethink what is important.

-How awful! I will definitely keep this woman in my prayers. hope that meth woman does go to jail. If people would just own up to their addictions and get help, fewer senseless things like this would happen.Lisa

-Oh Judi, so sorry to hear about Heather’s mother-in-law and to happen at what should have been one of the happiest times of their lives. I hope she has no pain and is well enough to be awake and talking soon

-that is horrible. What is Geoff's Mom name? I will put her on my prayer chain at church.

-That is very sad news. You can be sure my prayers are with her and the entire family.

-We are in shock over this -- what a horrible and senseless tragedy. We're praying for her recovery.

-I will keep her in my prayers. I wish the best for Heather and Geoff

Thanks for the update. Since the ankle and foot have been fixed, she will probably want to get up and start walking. When she can communicate she will feel better. The doctors are bringing her along. Many prayers are being answered.
And there is a closeness for all of you that will not be lost after this. Give her my prayers and hugs.
