Geoff & I got to see mom before she headed into surgery around 12:45 this afternoon. She woke up a little and knew we were there. I can tell how much she hates that breathing tube and I can't wait for her to get it out. If all goes as planned, she should get it out in the next day or two. I'm sure she'll have a lot to say. We'll post an update as soon as we hear from mom's doctors post-surgery.
I got good news today, that my CT scan came back "unremarkable." I have a follow-up appointment w/ mom's doctor next week to see if I need any additional treatment.
Watch for an update as soon as we have one. Keep mom in your thoughts, prayers, healing light, or whatever works for you. She's a fighter. I'm seeing that now more than ever.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
With much love and aloha,

I read Geoff's blog at work and bawled like a baby. I can't imagine the fear you felt while trying to get Sheryl free. Sheryl is an amazing woman and I'm so blessed to have her for a friend. She wanted to have a girlfriend lunch before she left and I thought I was too busy. We planned to get together after the 22nd. How I regret that! But WE WILL have that lunch! This has made me rethink my life............that I have been too busy for what really matters. Give Sheryl my love and I AM going to be a better friend and have more time to enjoy her when she returns home to Oklahoma.
Thank you for this blog. I think of Sheryl all the time.
Judy
We love you Sheryl and our thoughts are constantly with you. Iwas trying to track you down via mobile, text & email the day this horrible event befell you and Jen and Jeff. You're one of the strongest women I know and look forward to assisting you at home and maybe having a glass of vino (so good for our hearts!). Please know that any request, however large or small is welcome...we so need and want to help.
I love you so much, SILLY aka Loretta
Jen,
I'm so relieved that your mom came through the surgery OK. I've been following this and have worried so much about all of you. You're in my prayers. Much love, Abby
Hi Sheryl, Linda Mendoza told me what happened. My heart breaks for you and your family having to endure this suffering, but it soars when I read that you are alive and that you WILL heal. My husband, Lee, and I in Austin, have enjoyed your company so much every time you have been here and we have been able to get together. Never a dull moment! I see here on this blog that you have so many loving friends, and so much support, but though we have not known each other long, I want you know how much I admire your strength and courage and joie de vive! All those things will help you get through this ordeal.
